The fan is glued onto the cooling fins with silicon adhesive. The small
hole for the wire was just drilled through
from the inside. The other end of the hole is sort of behind the exterior
cooling fins. If I were doing this again,
I would try to drill it lower. A dab of silicon also seals the wires.
